so if you're really bored you can read through all my blogs ever and then you will really feel like you're inside my head. but theres way too many metaphors it would just fuck you up.

now with mousey gone and the nurse calling in sick and my stomach too full for lunch i thought i'd start my blog but on blogspot and with photos. because being unemployed calls for these things.

i went to somerset and we made apple crumble. which i think now is my favourite food.
and i have no idea if this was before or after i took this picture of a lozenge among the veggies.

he's happier than he looks, promise.
oh, and i met the president.
and then i took this picture of little mi from the moomins.score. x

oh so times have changed. summer caught an early train and autumn made just a token visit leaving us with winter. so, a summary since my last post:
ibiza was the holiday of a lifetime, with lads aplenty and sun/sea even the beach boys would envy, before back we came to gigs i can't even remember!
so along came mr.bank and demanded i work for money, so just one month behind bars and serving pints followed before being investigated by the fbi before they gave me benefits. (this is not recommended, unless like you me you need lots of medical prescriptions for lungs and nose for free instead of £7.01 a pop!) and still only £100 the better.
then after a few lonely appearances at the office the cold mistress of winter really did descend on everyone, with lucky breaking free and literally destroying two walls of the office and taking homebase for the ride, while mousey and your favourite dog were like abandoned pups tied to a lampost in the rain like on the adverts.
what with the absence of politics, maths, ecowarrior, goth, morrisey, we must alll embrace the obamazing result! and of course your favourite dog always has a mouse and the christmas spirit (which owes me big time with this years weather) hopefully bringing everyone home and to their senses.

what next for your canine hero? answers on a postcard in 4 frame cartoon to the usual adress. winner gets christmas biscuits, which are seriously the best you will ever taste this side of the us election.
and our weekly survey; are you glad to see the blog back? comment yes or no and results will be shown in a pie chart next post.

listen to death cab for cutie, you'll love them.

so being a full eighteen days since my last post and 48 hours before the plane for lads island leaves i thought i don't know how to finish this sentence so whatever.

oh and what a lot you can fit into the number of days equal to my years! nothing short of the geldof family party (not really) and a trip to the seasad town so far east hope has forgotten it's there, followed later in the week by my succumbing to the yankee dollar and training to work not for the man but serving him canapes.
then of course it was the cold red box 93 feet east of wherever and the stables before partying back east for a festival for girls and an early night.

and suddenly it was the weekend where friday (or saturday) was spent with smarr, bell, flan, spam and darling and the longest i have ever waited for a 53 in my entire life bar once or twice. and then snap and i was back in the den with kangaroo smashing out some new ones before being joined by office and darling, after which i scarpered quick before betting away all my posessions in poker.

so quick as a flash in memory land came the rehearsal sandwich with soho gig party filling with a bill of £0.
this of course all interspersed with sunbathing, useless showers and hours upon hours of public transport, where underground it is hot enough to make your favourite dogs eyelids sticky.
blog will return possibly in ibeetha if internet exists out there.
i bet i;'ve forgottn somrhting.

so with another hop, skip and train journey i was in sunny bournemouth, where it was straight down to the beach for beer and barbecue (bbbbq) before (not quite) sixty million drinks at (not nearly) sixty million postcards, followed the next day by hasty shopping, milkshakes and another dip in the ocean, which this time offered me a rock sharper than a knife on the bottom of my foot, an affliction still to this day turning my foot side on to avoid stinging. so of course it was back to nearby 60,000,000 and before i knew it the countryside was whizzing past and mousey appeared on the platform with the best ice cold fruit drink this side of anywhere. then just like that koko (not cocoa) was before me and another few seconds brought us to a sinfully empty club and a treat of prompt buses.

but there was no time to rest as drama called and fastforward to dulwich where the rest of the blood relatives were. but 4 glasses of pimms later and i was on a train to wherever and adlibbing my way to victory at worstival in what should have stayed as a wacky idea with the genius responsible being laughed out of the boardroom. those poor zebras.

so with our fair share of dog and mouse lazy bones time, we were before the money men, in between which i set out to make a few bucks of my own, and the evening bringing the most awkward bouncer in history and cans (?!!) of water.

snap and i was awake, saturday morning and no change but becoming legal and no longer living in the shroud of lies before the eyes of those on the other side of bars. one birthday, drama performance, cake, and lots of presents later and me, mousey, lucky, emcee, business, footballer, labour, morrisey, jb, brazil, model, grrr, blind horse and the rest were at the hobgoblin where i rode the wave of lots of alcohol to a hangover free sunday, doing nothing in particular with my favourite little mouse.

loving: cameras and the agony of never being happy enough with an idea for 'design your own cover'.

so with only 33 minutes to fit this into the 'june' bracket of my blogs we soon begin the 12 days of christmas leading to your favourite dog becoming legally legal in the eyes of gordon brown pm himself, and of course in the eyes of the tax collector when the bucks landslide into my account.

other developments from last time include the longest 2.5 hours i have ever 'enjoyed' since 'nam in '72 before almost recreating the 'breaking free' scene from shawshank redemption had i had access to a upward panning camera and rain. but one of course can't have everything.

then suddenly before you could say 'victoria park' i was in the place itself set upon trembling legs and aching back soothed only by radiohead metres away, in an evening thoroughly worth half a century despite others harder to please.

wednesday and with the hop of a foot and the tap of an oyster card i was standing where one bear was once lost amongst a thousand backpacks as me and my apple juice unceremoniously made it to the 'quiet carriage' where i lasted as long as the couple in front of me saying 'warwick has a better reputation' before the headphones were in and fleet foxes made the soundtrack to the landscape. but there was no time to lose as suddenly we were on the lake being manhunted by a swan, where after careful consideration me and mousey decided we liked our arms and stuck to bikes. this of course followed by cream tea and cider as any respectable country goer indulges in, and a decision made easy by pouring rain and my favourite mouse with a night by the 'enviro-friendly' fire.

so of course as every week does it came to an end and home saw but an hour of me on friday before a (not really) dramatic saturday complete with party and a lazy sunday playing crime spotters and a far more spectacular win for me than for spain.

apologies for: a lengthy post, over-indulgent metaphors and anything i missed.

actually loving beirut (the band) and citrus fruits frescatos. bellisimo!

Current mood: hopeful
so with now a good 11 days since my previous posting what better time than when revision is calling me like a broken phone only to be silenced by two lovely new records purchased recently.
so not a moment to spare and we were off to our good friend manchester where we failed to steal lenny henry and were back in the bigger city before you could say 'photoshoot', where we were doing just that before the big cats party and a (literally) gay interview. this took it out of your favourite dog but not a moment was to be lost as i was once again on the district line and fast forward to birmingham with left over cheese bonanza and the most reasonably priced taxi in the northwest.
this was followed by toffs in gardens and squares and lots of driving not forgetting a stint in camden and a lazy week with none but two lessons, bringing us to this very moment not 15 hours away from a 150minute panic before i become like a blind man seeing again in the vast freedom likely to absorb me faster than you can say 'young persons railcard'. but of couse all cured along the way by none other than my favourite mouse and maybe a macaroon for a treat.

fleet foxes and new potatoes are this weeks treat.

i've always wondered who reads this, why not say something?

blogs
080608
Current mood: contemplative
so actually having not written a blog in a long time what better time than when i have the club remix of everything but the girl on in the background.
although still feeling the post tour need to relax a stream of early nights rather happily in half a bed there has been few notable engagements, bar the street parties with the freezing models and polaroid paparazzi the only real thing to drag me and mousey onto the jubilee line was the only type of place on earth that floats, is on land and has no real light. this of course fitting also around the dregs of alevel commitment and not one but two shows trying to be 'the third frontman'.
this all leading up to i suppose a let down after 3 days of perilous travel but quality work with one day in a london village and perhaps perked up by the old 'one drink lasts a whole night' trick and the bus arriving instantly.

macaroons are my new thing. and maybe danishes after this week? we will see.

Current mood: animated
so only hours after the writing of my previous blog, me, smoke, lucky, mc wheat and mousey were off to newcastle for another round of street fighting. greeted with a yet smaller room and the most enthusiastic geordie you'll ever meet, we took time out of our not really busy schedule to drop in on the homeless cafe and buy socks. post another show and a make up scare, we proceeded to the nearest seedy club to indulge in crazy cheap drinks, some odd goings on in the darker corners and a taxi back home (travelodge).
of course then the only place to go was scotland, where the glasgow air nursed my weary lungs and the pound shop put a smile on my tired face. and yes as quick as that suddenly we were in dundee, still spaced out and doing whatever kind of public appearance you can do without being famous in the only boutique shop in scotland by one of two successful scottish rappers who pretended to be american (yes, really). this was followed by feeling like headliners as i was sucked into a crowd and mouthraped by a mess to retrieve my beloved headband.

if you've ever driven 10 hours from dundee to london you don't need me to tell you about it, so friday night was back with the fam for a night of sesame cake and stepping dubwise being a perfect homecoming.
brightons lovely, didn't see bodger and badger though, only their adorable sidekick and my favourite brightonian.

anyone else fallen in love with croissants?

Current mood: chipper
so two weeks ago began a good weekend made only sad by being too jam packed for a goodbye as tuesday came and jetted me to norway, where the beer/wifi/hospitality/scenery was plentiful, i discovered caramelised almonds and almost disappeared forever between two beds.
following a whole days travelling via copenhagen we landed smack on the tarmac and after a quick stop for toast were straight on stage with alphabeat for digital love!
sadly this ended in a cab home, with mousey asleep and my watchful eye on the meter as i whinced with every extra 20p addition only made worse by traffic lights.

with literally no rest and minimal socialising time on friday i dragged myself out of bed to exeter via fulham and a car to play to hardly no one and finish the weekend in manchester, where on monday my shaking hand could barely hold a beer let alone play bass as 2000 watchful eyes wooped like we were their nintendo sounding nu rave friends.
this of course was lessened at the smaller birmingham 'academy' with more beer and an adjusting to the wake up - drive - check in - soundcheck - play - drunk - sleep - get dragged awake by the old favourite - routine laid out for us in the north. so ignoring my longings and wonderings of where the hell i was on awaking we ended in leeds, enjoying the market, greggs on every street, coconutshakes and our favourite folknroll laddies.
so the travels ended just after everything got on top of your favourite dog with a less than lacklustre show of emotions in birmingham, with a promise to always smile!
ahhh today was just a whisper of home before a shorter whisper from college and once again a-travelling to a new castle.
aurevoir until next time.

so feeling the surge of dread at the thought of being academically productive i threw that out the window in favour of writing another blog with my day off.
having not a moment to myself monday started with a short spell at the 925 before courting in olympia with a suit, dj and fuckknowswhat over pizza minus the croutons.
but time to rest had not i while brixton called me in for a date with a brokenbroken bass amp followed by a long bus ride home with only a kitkat chunky for company courtesy of mousey.
tuesday was spent in front of cameras and eating lots, filming the video for - ironically - 'did you wrong' where i was literally wrapped up no less than thrice, experiencing what it must be like being a parcel and how fucking hot paper is.
fast forward through another spate of cameras, norwich and never wanting to be in reading less and i dragged up by my alarm 630am to be judged/watched/analysed all day before a double bill of hardcore but enjoyable work coupled with being freaked by card tricks.
find out after the break if the dog can skip enough landmines to maintain the mash potato/brighton bed&breakfast based relationship...
the moral of the story is all it takes is EFFORT!

i love granola.x

200408

so after crazy madchesterlondoncardiff was over it was back to 925 in sunny croydon, attending my final few appearances while a certain friend made a curious comeback causing more trouble than they knew.
then following pretentious wednesday spent in celeb hangouts shoreditch house and cargo i returned to normal for a fraction of a day before being whisked kicking and screaming into proud galleries, feeling not proud of myself at all but enjoying a sighting of jo wiley instead of her namesake grime superstar. but even leaving the stables proved difficult with 2 hours of bus and coldness putting me in no good mood. but of course saturday came rescuing with drama and a gig in a swimmiing pool before killing many birds with a single stone and an all round good night.
back to college before i mime half speed and appear on chart show tv!
i love giant buttons.

week080408

Current mood: adored
so after waiting and waiting for the meteorologist on the telly to say photos would be good, i took a courtesy day off college to jam with mousey, before friday finally brought some agreeable t-shirt weather and i spent the day hiding in trees, biting rope and quickly retying the ties that bind before watching walk the line at the weekend. after months of no power i became somewhat of a machine, possibly owing to the absence of a certain friend and maybe spurred on by our poor sick planet bringing us very nearly a white easter.
so as the days count down before implosion we travel to madchester to hang with the best known teenagers and ghost channel 4 has ever seen.

see me in the guide this week?
